Close to two weeks after rolling out the Android 4.1 update for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, Google is now making the Jelly Bean OTA update available for the Nexus S. According to Google+ page, the different variants of Nexus S on T-Mobile, H3G, O2, Rogers and Vodafone "in most countries" will receive the update.

The Nexus S is Google's second generation of Nexus-branded smartphone that was released in December 2010. It runs on the 1GHz Cortex A8 (Hummingbird) processor, 512MB RAM and has a 4-inch display.

So far, ASUS and HTC are the only two Android vendors that have announced plans to upgrade some of their existing mobile devices to Android 4.1. We expect the other Android vendors to make similar announcements soon.
