Android 4.2 Jelly Bean

Less than six months after Google unveiled Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, the company took the wraps off "the simplest and smartest version of Android yet".  It has a few nifty tricks up its sleeve such as: -

  • Photo Sphere: a panorama -like feature where you can capture images in any direction you want to create a 360-degree immersive experience.

  • Gesture Typing: a Swype-like feature that enables you to glide your finger over the keyboard to type messages.

  • Wireless display: watch movies, YouTube videos and play games wirelessly from Miracast-compatible HDTVs.

  • More cards for Google Now: flight information, restaurant reservations, hotel confirmations, shipping details, nearby attractions, interesting photo spots, movies times at theatres in the vicinity or concerts by your favourite artists

  • Multiple user support: ability to add multiple users on a single device and switch between them instantly right from the lockscreen.

  • DayDream: a screen saver which allows you to make use of the display (when idle or docked) to view photo albums or news.
