Most of us would prefer to have a white Christmas over the heavy downpour that's happening right now. Unfortunately, snow will never reach those of us living on the equator, but there are alternatives to experience it, geek-style.
As always, Google has something up its sleeves, and in the spirit of the Christmas season, Google "let it snow" (without the quotes) and you'll be treated to a snowfall on the Google page. Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow, that is, until the screen gets too frosted and you'll have to click on the "defrost" button to actually see your search results.
This isn't the first time Google has harnessed the power of HTML5, the earlier example being a barrel roll that, as its name suggests, has the web page doing a barrel roll when you Google it.
