Google Launches Google Person Finder for Japan's Earthquake

In light of the recent earthquake in Japan, Google has launched Google Person Finder which is a web-based app that provides information regarding the disaster and damage with real-time updates. The service also allows you to look for a person by searching their name, and, should there not be a result, it lets you create a new record for a missing person. The service is available in both Japanese and English, and would be useful for those trying to locate a loved one. So far, the service has received over 81,000 records of people leaving messages and seeking families and friends.
