Google Introduces One Pass Payment System

Just a day after Apple introduced its App Store subscription service, Google has responded with a competing service that allows consumers to use a single account to pay for access to multiple publications for a range of mobile devices. What Google also offers is a lower cut of the revenue, taking only 10% instead of Apple's 30% and merchants who use Google's service will be able to set their own prices.

WSJ - Google Inc. fired another salvo in its broadening competition with Apple Inc., opening a payment system for digital content that will let publishers keep a bigger share of revenues than a service launched by Apple this week.
