Google Glass Owners Offered One Time Swap
Google Glass Owners Offered One Time Swap
Google has been proactive in making software tweaks and changes to Google Glass. Now the wearable computing device looks to be all set to receive a hardware upgrade as well. In a post on Google+, it has been revealed that the existing Glass Explorers will be given a chance to swap out their old Google Glass for a new one and receive a free mono earbud in the process.
The new Google Glass is designed to be compatible with "future lines of shades and prescription frames", addressing a long standing complaint from users who wear glasses on a daily basis. Anyone who purchased their Google Glass device before the 28th of October 2013 is eligible for the swap. Google will notify Explorers with further details in November.
Additionally, Google is also looking to expand the Google Glass trial program from its current size. Much like the invite your friends system Google used with Gmail at the start of the emailing service, owners of Google Glass will be given the opportunity to invite three friends each to buy the device and try it out for themselves.
