Google may be unveiling the LG Nexus 5 and Android 4.4 KitKat this Friday, 18 October.

A post on the official KitKat Google+ page comes with the caption, "Everybody dance now". Android Community speculates that the caption is a reference to a song of the same title by the American dance group C+C Music Factory.

Apparently, the song is 4 minutes and 4 seconds long which coincides with the Android version number of KitKit. Android Community also noted that the song was released on 18 October, 1990. This could be a hint that Google will make the announcement on the same date.

If we connect the dots, this seems logical since the Nexus 5 is rumored to be available on 31 October. Google announced the Nexus 4 on 29 October last year, and the smartphone hit the Play Store on 13 November. If the Nexus 5 is announced this Friday, that leaves about two weeks before it is available for purchase.

In addition, Apple is holding an event next week and Google may not want to share the limelight with its rival. In the meantime, we are going to have a break and have a KitKat.
