Google to announce Android M at I/O 2015 later this month
Google will continue its tradition of announcing the latest version of Android at the annual I/O developer conference, which will be held at Moscone Center West, San Francisco from 28 to 29 May.
According to a session description listed on the I/O schedule, Google made mention of Android M and describes it as bringing the power of Android to all kinds of workplaces. The session description has since been removed from the website.
While Android continues to dominate the consumer market, Google has not made significant progress in the enterprise sector. Perhaps Android M will help Google attract more developers and interest to the platform.
Last year, Google unveiled Android L (which is currently known as Lollipop) with a new Material Design user interface at the I/O developer conference. Can anyone make a guess what dessert will Android M be named after? Muffins, anyone?
