Google's wearable computer, Glass, has not really caught on with the majority yet but that might be due to change. The company has decided to join forces with Luxottica, the eyewear manufacturer and distributor that's behind Ray-Ban and Oakley. The partnership aims to bring eyewear that has the eye-catching design of Ray-Ban and Oakley combined with the technology of Glass.

Design of the eyewear will be between Google and Luxottica, while the eyewear manufacturer will handle manufacturing and distribution. This will put Glass in more stores due to Luxottica's large market share (12.4%) and the fact that it also owns LensCrafters and Sunglass Hut. Bad news for those outside the US though; the partnership will only produce eyewear that's limited to the US market.
