Gigabyte Unveils More Details on Intel 9-Series Motherboards

At the beginning of this month, Gigabyte unveiled its new Intel 9-Series motherboards.  These boards make up the following series; G1 Gaming, Ultra Durable, Overclocking and Black Edition respectively.

The company has released details of boards that were left out in their early announcement. From the G1 Gaming series, the mini-ITX GA-Z97N-Gaming 5, the GA-H97M-Gaming 3 and the GA-H97-Gaming 3 have been revealed. The GA-Z97N-Gaming 5 board is ideal for building a SFF gaming PC and despite its size, it offers the same Killer E2200 Gigabit LAN controller as its larger counterparts. In addition, the card also has an onboard, dual-band 802.11ac Wi-Fi module, with Bluetooth v4.0 wireless technology.

For its Ultra Durable series, the GA-Z97P-D3, an ATX board, features the exclusive DualBIOS technology, making sure the board is protected in the event its main BIOS gets corrupted. To enhance its durability, the board features the Glass Fabric PCB technology, offering protection from our heavy humidity.

The two other Ultra Durable boards, of the mATX form factor, are based on the Intel H97 chipset; the GA-H97M-HD3 and GA-H97M-DS3P. They are mainly targeted at corporate customers due to their support for the Intel Small Business Advantage technology.
