Gigabyte has announced its next gen Brix Pro.
A compact DIY PC kit, it powers on an Intel Core i5/i7 processor with Intel Iris Pro Graphics 5200, making it ideal for CPU-intensive applications such as image design and video editing, or 3D gaming. The graphics use an on-package 64M eDRAM cache that negates memory pipeline issues, boosting overall performance in 3D applications.
With two SO-DIMM DD3L slots and support for both mSATA SSD and standard 2.5-inch SSD installation, it features both Mini DisplayPort and HDMI ports on the rear panel, enabling support for simultaneous dual display connectivity. Also supporting 4K displays via HDMI, audio connectivity include SPDIF audio via a front panel connector. The Brix Pro houses four USB 3.0 ports, and a Mini PCIe module offering Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivities.
Bundled with a VESA bracket, the Brix Pro can easily be mounted behind a monitor or HDTV so it'll be discreetly hidden from view. Available in Black or Red, with a choice of either an Intel Core i7-4770R or Core i5-4570R processor, it ships with a Wi-Fi Mini PCIe module pre-installed, power adapter and cable.
