Getting All Touchy with Two New AIOs from Acer

Campbell Kan, President of Personal Computer Global Operations, demonstrates the impressive rotating stand of the Aspire 7600U.

Windows 8 promises a better touch experience and Acer is fully capitalizing on this by announcing two new all-in-one (AIO) systems.

There’s the 27-inch Aspire 7600U, which comes in at just a mere 35mm thick. The display is capable of 64-point multitouch and the Aspire 7600U will also come with Dolby Surround sound. The stand is particularly impressive as it can be rotated 0 to 90 degrees and can be swiveled on all four sides. What’s this means is that it can adopt a multitude of orientations and can even be folded completely flat like a table.

On the other hand, the 23-inch Aspire 5600U is, according to Acer, “the thinnest AIO available” and features a less impressive stand that can be tilted from 30 to 85 degrees. The Aspire 5600U will also have Dolby Surround sound.

Detailed specifications of the two AIOs were not unveiled by Acer.
