The art of router placement is a mystical one. And sometimes, even with the best router in hand, Wi-Fi deadspots are inevitable simply because of a less than ideal home or room layout.

If you have just gotten your hands on a high-end router capable of supporting speeds in excess of 1300Mbps on its 5GHz band, you'll need a suitable Wi-Fi extender to help.

Fortunately, D-Link's new DAP-1860 AC2600 Wi-Fi range extender is here.

It supports speeds of up to 800Mbps on its 2.4GHz band and 1733Mbps on its 5GHz band, making it ideal for the newer breed of high-end routers that are of the AC2600, AC3150 and AC5300 class.

The DAP-1860 Wi-Fi range extender also comes with "Smart Signal LEDs" that helps make setting up easy. These LEDs light up to give users a quick indication of how strong or weak the connection between it and the router is, allowing users to more easily and accurately position the range extender.

The D-Link DAP-1860 AC2600 Wi-Fi range extender is available now and is priced at S$189.
