If there was ever a segment for the rich (and maybe the famous) in the tech scene, Mamiya should be one of the featured companies. The camera maker just announced the availability of its Mamiya RZ33, armed with a 33-megapixel CCD sensor and costs a whooping US$17,990.
Engadget - It's sort of affordable by Mamiya standards, but the $17,990 asking price affixed to the outfit's new RZ33 large-sensor digital camera kit is still apt to detract all but the most professional of professionals. Boasting a 33 megapixel CCD sensor, CompactFlash support and a promise to produce mind-blowing images, this beast-of-a-digicam is said to offer "cable-free digital operation [that's] just as smooth and trouble-free as shooting with film."
Specifications aside, we do find a certain charm to the RZ33's design, which reminds us of the good old days of film photography, and it even comes with an optional interchangeable power winder. For more information about this juggernaut digital camera, check out the full story here.
