Galaxy S III Receiving Jelly Bean Update in Oct, LTE Variant Available from End Sep

Update: The LTE variant of the Galaxy S III will be available from 29th September onwards at a recommended retail price of S$998.

Samsung has just confirmed that the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update is coming to its flagship model, the Galaxy S III in October. This is of course, no new news: we have previously reported that the "Galaxy S III will be the company’s first handset to be updated to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, followed by the Galaxy S II and Galaxy Note". Check out the leaked video of the Android 4.1 ROM running on the Galaxy S III.

In addition, the Galaxy S III (LTE) version will be available from end September at a recommended retail price of S$998. It will come in two colors: marble white and titanium grey. It also runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean out of the box. Similar to the version sold in Germany and Korea, the Galaxy S III is powered by a quad-core processor and 2GB RAM.
