Galaxy Note8 to be the most expensive Samsung phone yet, to launch in mid Sept?
Contrary to an earlier rumor about a launch date on 26 August, VentureBeat claims that the Galaxy Note8 would be unveiled in September with a hefty price tag.
The information is provided by Evan Blass, also known as @evleaks, who is one of the most accurate tipsters in the industry. He states that the Galaxy Note8 would be launched in the second half of September with a price tag of €999 (~S$1,550), making it the most expensive Samsung phone yet.
Evan also shared the specs of the Galaxy Note8; it sports a 6.3-inch edge-to-edge AMOLED display with 18.5:9 aspect ratio, Exynos 8895 or Snapdragon 835 chipset, 6GB RAM, dual rear cameras (12MP sensor each with an independent OIS for the lens), a rear fingerprint sensor and a 3,300mAh battery.
Split-screen multi-tasking and improved software features for the S Pen such as full-sentence language translation and currency conversion are also coming to the Galaxy Note8. The handset is expected to be available in black, blue and gold.
