The Galaxy Note7 may get the Android 7.0 Nougat update in two to three months

The Galaxy Note7 is Samsung's latest flagship smartphone, but it is still running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. After getting feedback from its customers, Samsung reportedly claimed that it will be offering the Android 7.0 Nougat update in two to three months for the Galaxy Note7.

"It is very important for us to offer up-to-date information with the new OS, but what's more crucial is to build a stable and seamless platform for users," Koh said. "That's why we are planning to do enough beta testing before any OS updates."

Android 7.0 Nougat is rumored to be available sometime this month with the launch of two HTC-made Nexus phones. The first non-Nexus smartphone to ship with Android 7.0 Nougat would be the upcoming LG V20 which will be officially unveiled on 6th September.
