You've seen how fast the iris scanner of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 work and how far you should hold it, but it is not perfect. New leaks from Chinese social networking site Weibo reveals the limitations of the iris scanner.

According to the leaked screenshots, the iris scanner may have problems verifying the users if they wear glasses or contact lenses. In addition, you are advised to use the iris scanner at least 20 cm away to avoid any potential risks to your eyes. Having said that, Samsung cautions against using it to scan the eyes of your kids or babies. The iris scanner is also not recommended to be used in direct sunlight.

Given the limitations of the iris scanning technology, we reckon that users with glasses or contact lenses can choose to use the fingerprint scanner which is more convenient and safer. The Galaxy Note 7 will be officially unveiled on 2nd August in New York.
