Fuji Xerox announces new S-LED color printers
Fuji Xerox Singapore is on a roll lately. Recently, it has launched a total of seven monochrome laser printers targeting individuals, students, and small workgroups (more info here and here); and now, we’ve four more.
The difference this time round is that these are color printers, and they all use Fuji Xerox’s S-LED (Self-scanning Light Emitting Diode) and DELCIS (Digitally-Enhanced Lighting Control Imaging System) print technologies to deliver up to 1,200 x 2,400 dpi high-resolution print quality. They also use the company’s EA-Eco toner, which reduces carbon dioxide emissions by up to 35%.
The two models in the new DocuPrint 225 series (CP225 w, CM225 fw) deliver up to 18ppm print speeds for both color and black-and-white printing, with just 15 seconds needed for the first color printout. As its name suggests, the CM225 fw is a multi-function device, taking on additional duties like copy, scan, and fax. It also has more RAM (512MB) and a 4.3-inch color touchscreen. Both models support wireless and wired connections, and are Apple AirPrint and Google Cloud Print-ready.
The other two models in the 115 series (CP115 w, CM115 w) are capable of 10ppm for color and 12ppm for monochrome printing. Both are host-based printers compared to the 225 series that supports PCL5e, PCL6, and PostScript 3. Again, the CM115w is the multi-function model, and has copy and scan functions. Like the 225 series, the 115 series also has one-touch Wi-Fi setup (using WPS 2.0), and supports AirPrint for mobile printing.
The new color printers will be available at retail superstores island-wide from February 16, 2015. Here are their prices:

- DocuPrint CM115 w - S$449
