Flickr Joins Android Photography App Party
Flickr Joins Android Photography App Party
We've seen plenty of photography applications (mostly retro filters) on Android for a while now. Some good, some not so good, but most don't come with the type of connectivity and polish that Instagram has.
Well, the latest big name to join in the photo fun is the web based photography site, Flickr (yes it hasn't been completely smothered by Yahoo) that has been around since 2004.
Woah that's a long time isn't it? We don't know what kept them from joining the party this late in the game, but it's better to be late than never.
So what's this Flickr app all about? Firstly it lets you log on to some of your favourite social sites like Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr.
Then it lets you take photos, apply filters and voila! Instant filtered photos, ready to be uploaded.
There are about 10 different types of filters, and each one is named after a major city, like Tokyo, Cairo or New York.
It's not terribly different from other photo apps, but the Flickr app allows you to upload to several places at once.
Now they only need to add more avenues (Google+?) in which we can share our photos, and it could possibly be our photo app of choice.
