Flappy Bird has been something of an Internet phenomenon. To be sure, the game was a wild success for its creator Dong Nguyen, who reportedly raked in US$50,000 a day in ad revenue, but it was also so frustrating and distracting to play that some people have claimed that it ruined their lives, forcing its Nguyen to take the game down from from the App Store and Google Play Store.

Fortunately (or not), Nguyen is back with a new game and it seems from first impressions that this new game is just as hard, or worse, harder. The new game called Swing Copters follows the basic idea of Flappy Birds in that you need to get the game character through a series of vertically stacked gates. So it is like Flappy Bird, but going up instead of sideways.

However, to spice things up, underneath the gates are swinging hammers that make the task even harder. Here's a video showing the gameplay:

Swing Copters will be available as a free download on the App Store later this week on the 21st. An additional US$0.99 will remove the in-game ads. Unfortunately, the report does not state if Swing Copters will be available on Android, but we are guessing it will.
