First Windows Phone 7 Update Could be Announced at CES 2011

When is Windows Phone 7 receiving its very first update? That date hasn't been set, but word has it that it could be announced as early as this week, indicating an appearance of sorts at Steve Ballmer's keynote for CES 2011. The known facts about this update includes the copy/paste function (which really should have been included from the very start) and some minor fixes to bugs within the current build.

Engadget - Word on the street from Microsoft savant Paul Thurrott is that Windows Phone 7's first update might go gold as early as this week -- in time for Ballmer's CES keynote, in fact, which means he might give it a mention and / or spend a few minutes showing it off.

For now, we keep our eyes and ears locked onto CES 2011, when Steve Ballmer's keynote takes place. Meanwhile, the team is dashing through the halls of CES 2011, and we'll bring you the latest updates from the biggest consumer electronics exhibition very soon.
