Map-makers have been making, redefining and refining maps for centuries. But a map of the world based on Facebook? Yup, it's real, and here it is.
But instead of representing physical landmasses, the Facebook map represents the strength of human relationships within Facebook, plotted by the strength of connections between its users and their geographical location. What's interesting about the map isn't just its cool Tron-like look or how it etches out a basic map of the world, but also the large blank spaces which show where Facebook isn't.
