According to a New York Times report, Facebook will soon be launching a photo filters feature for its mobile application, similar to the popular Instagram app.
Initial rumors stated that Facebook made an unsuccessful attempt to acquire Instagram this summer. The popular image sharing app debuted last year, and now has over 8 million users, primarily on the strength of its old school style photography filters.
Facebook's version will supposedly debut with up to a dozen photo filters, including clones of many of Instagram's most popular effects.
Currently, no launch date has been set for the new feature.
