Experience the London 2012 Games with Google

Google has announced an online hub where they will bring updates from London 2012.

Simply search on Google from your desktop, smartphone, or tablet for up-to-the-minute news on your favorite sport like "swimming", or country team like "singapore at the olympics". Detailed information like the schedule, medal count, and event records will be displayed. Additionally, Android users can also download from a collection of useful apps from results trackers to games from Google Play.

You can also find out what's trending around the world by exploring the "Hot Searches" section of the website, or follow your favorite teams and show your support on Google+.

With Google Earth, you can circuit around the Olympic Park, explore the cycling and marathon courses or take a virtual tour of London landmarks. You can also compare aerial imagery of London in 1948 (the last time London hosted the Games) to modern day London using the Historical Imagery feature.

YouTube will be relaying the games live to people in 64 markets across Africa and Asia, including India, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore. Alternatively, you can also relive historic moments from Olympics past by exploring an archive.
