The EX-ZR3600 is a new compact camera with advanced photo-sharing features

Casio has just released the EX-ZR3600, an updated version of last year’s EX-ZR3500. The camera will be the new flagship of their premium compact camera series, but shares many of the features that made its predecessor great.

The ZR3600 again uses a 1/1.7” 12.1MP BSI CMOS sensor paired with their HS3 imaging engine to allow for crisp, clear shots even during dim lighting. Casio’s improved make-up mode technology allows for retouching to be done while preserving fine details such as eyelashes, so that your portraits will still look natural.

Sharing has been improved with this model though, as the Improved Auto Transfer mode now gives you greater control over the type of images that are automatically sent to your smart device. For example, you can set the camera to only transfer pictures that contain faces. Also, the camera now creates QR codes for every image you upload, allowing you to share the images by only sharing the QR code and nothing more. This makes it fast and convenient, and with the geo-tagging function incorporated in the camera, you can even sort all the images on a map based on where they were taken.

At the end of a shooting session, the camera’s Highlight Movie function will automatically select the best photos and videos from all the day and combine them into a movie. Casio’s unique algorithms select only the best images and incorporate professional level editing techniques, so you can look back on your day via an image digest in story format.

The Casio EX-ZR3600 is available from this month onwards in three Pearl White, Pink and Lavender for S$599 at all authorized Casio retailers.
