ESET brings a helpful new tool for parents to keep their kids safe

The first of its kind from ESET, the Parental Control app (Android only) is built in two modes: the Child mode which is the applied child protection mode, and the Parent mode, which contains all the monitoring tools.

In Parent mode, you can decide if you want to only monitor your child’s behavior or if you want to add additional restrictions such as age-based automatic blocking for applications and web sites under the “Application Guard and Time Management” function. There’s also an option to switch on the “Child Locator” service to track your child’s location if they’re not responsive, and the app itself provides the option for two-way communication.

Child Locator shows you just where your child is via GPS.

The app displays a child-friendly interface with images and simpler language that’s easily understandable, making it suitable even for younger children. Also, your children can contact you through the app to request for permission to access certain apps, websites, or to ask for extra gaming/surfing time, so you can make special exceptions if they’ve been good.

The child interface is kept simple and fun.

The ESET Parental Control app is available now on the GooglePlay store for free, at the my.eset.com portal or via ESET’s partners.
