Epson Expands Business Product Line with Inkjet, Monochrome LED, and Stationery Label Printers
Epson has extended its Business Inkjet printer range to include its smallest ever all-in-one models with integrated fax, automatic document feeder (ADF), Ethernet and Wi-Fi connectivity and a 2.5-inch color LCD panel.
Epson WorkForce WF-2548 Ultra-Compact All-in-One Business Inkjet Printer
With a high draft print speed of 34ppm and laser quality speed of 9ppm, the built-in 2.5-inch color LCD panel provides for functions and viewing purposes including PC-less photo, Scan-to-Cloud function, and viewing job statuses. Sending of multi-page faxes is a breeze with its 30-page ADF. Featuring Epson Connect Suite functions which include (but not limited to) iPrint, email print, remote print, and Google cloud print, it also has an 180-page fax storage memory, and uses Epson’s DURABrite Ultra pigment inks that produce high quality prints that are smudge, fade and water resistant.
Epson WorkForce WF-3521 High Performance Business Inkjet AiO
Equipped with a maximum draft speed of up to 38ppm, laser quality speed of 15ppm for monochrome and 9.2ppm for color prints, the Epson WorkForce WF-3521 replaces the Epson ME Office 960FWD, but uses the same low cost Epson 141 and 143 cartridges as its predecessor. Like the WF-2548, it incorporates DURABrite Ultra pigment inks, and its duplexer unit has the ability to churn 7.9ppm for double-sided monochrome documents and 5.7ppm for colored documents. Also offering Epson Connect Suite functions, it comes with a 30-page duplex ADF, and both Ethernet and Wi-Fi connectivity, so you can share it among a workgroup.
Also introduced are two new small-business targeted, high performance monochrome models - the WorkForce M200DN A4 mono LED single function printer and the MX200DNF A4 mono LED all-in-one function printer - to its range of LED printers. They are also the first Epson LED printers to bear the “WorkForce” brand that will be used for future Epson products that have been engineered for SMB needs.
Epson WorkForce M200DN and MX200DNF
Boasting print speeds of up to 30ppm, their fast first page out only takes seven seconds, reducing job completion times especially for common small batch jobs. Packed with Epson AcuBrite toners which achieve a high 1200 x 1200dpi resolution for richer and sharper black text, the new Epson WorkForce LED printers feature class leading duty cycles of up to 30,000 pages per month. Energy Star certified, they support ultra-high speed USB and Ethernet connectivity that facilities workgroup sharing and wireless printing of documents from Apple/Android-based devices installed with the Epson iPrint app.
In addition to printing, the Epson WorkForce MX200DNF offers users the added convenience of scanning and copying abilities, a 50-sheet automatic document feeder and a fax with 8MB of memory.
Epson has also launched the Epson LabelWorks Pro 100, which is able to print on two main types of media:
- 50mm or 100mm wide label rolls that allow users to choose from separate rolls of different coloured text ribbons to be printed on them by thermal transfer
- Single rolls of low cost, thermally reactive pre-cut labels similar to thermal paper used by thermal receipt printers
The LabelWorks Pro 100 can perform edge-to-edge printing, maximizing the use of labels. With seven label colours and five text ribbon colours to choose from, users can mix and match different colour combinations to achieve their desired label designs. The Epson labels are Olefin-based which are highly resistant to exposure or damage from the environmental, chemical and moisture, making them highly durable and suitable for harsh environments. The clear window on the back and front of the label printer chassis allows users to see through and view the media and text ribbon type conveniently, while the 70 pre-installed templates enables users to insert images, company logos, and barcodes on the labels with the bundled Epson label editor software.
Another stationery label printer announced is the LabelWorks LW-700 “hybrid” model that allows users to create labels up to 24mm in width from either its built in keyboard or from a connected computer.
Preloaded with 14 font types that can be printed out in 15 different styles, 460 symbols, and 87 frames, the LW-700 provides dramatically smaller margins as little as 1mm. With more than 30 different types of media including (but not limited to) colors, patterns, varied applications such as iron on, glow-in-the-dark, cable wrap, and indexed labels, it has the ability to store up to 100 custom designs. It also comes with the bundled Epson label editor software, automatic built-in label cutter, and a clear window on the back and front of the label printer chassis as well.
