Epson announces the Perfection V39, a small and light scanner for SOHOs and SMEs

Epson has just announced the Epson Perfection V39, a small and lightweight scanner designed to save space, reduce clutter, and enhance mobility.

Setup-wise, the V39 can be used simply by connecting it to a PC via a USB cable. It draw power over the same port, which means there’s no need for additional power cables. To make it even more convenient, the V39 incorporates a built-in kickstand that allows it to be placed in an upright position.

The V39’s document capture software allows users to easily scan, view, edit, save, and transfer scanned documents. Able to optically recognize barcodes, characters, and blank pages in scanned documents to separate them into different folders, the V39 also allows for the creation of 30 customized job settings. Then there’s the Easy Photo Scan user interface that enables simple scanning, viewing, editing, saving, and transferring of scanned documents. It even comes with 8 simple to use photo editing functions such as Rotation, Auto and Manual Enhancement, Soft Focus, and Red Eye Correction.

In addition, the V39 features four one-touch buttons that are pre-defined to make regular scanning jobs easier. Users can create up to 10 customized job settings and assign them to the push buttons on the scanner for greater convenience. The V39 also sports an extendable hinge and a detachable lid, which means users are able to scan items of any thickness.

Under the hood, the V39 uses Epson’s ReadyScan LED technology, enabling it to start scanning with no warm up time required. Featuring a mercury-free LED light source, the scanner is low in heat dissipation and power consumption.

The Epson Perfection V39 is priced at S$128 and is available at all authorized resellers.
