ECS Announces A85F2-A Deluxe Motherboard with FM2 Socket

Adopting the AMD A85X chipset with support for the latest socket FM2 (a CPU socket to by used by AMD's Trinity Fusion processor lines) CPUs, this ECS motherboard features two 2nd gen PCIe x16 slots for graphics card upgrades and CrossFireX support, as well as three 2nd gen PCIe x1 and 2 PCI slots for other cards. Up to 64GB of dual channel DDR3 memory can be installed in 4 sockets, with a maximum speed of 1866, or up to 2300 for overclockers. There are seven 6 Gbps SATA sockets, with support for RAID 0, 1, 5, & 10.

Offering the new graphical UEFI BIOS with ECS MIB X, and a multi-language interface, expansion and connectivity options in the motherboard include six USB 3.0 ports, eight USB 2.0 ports, Gigabit LAN, as well as a 6Gbps eSATA connector for fast external storage. Also available are separate HDMI, DVI, and D-Sub VGA ports which provide for graphics output.

Certified with the ECS Nonstop Technology, the A85F2-A Deluxe is bundled with Norton AntiVirus software, Muzee, Cyberlink Media Suite, and the ECS iEZ utility, which includes the eBLU BIOS Live Update Utility, the eDLU Drivers Live Update Utility and the eSF Smart Fan Utility.

Besides the A85F2-A Deluxe, four other models will be released with the socket FM2: A75F2-A2, A75F2-M2, A55F2-A2, A55F2-M3. New features in this generation include support for up to four displays and AMD Eyefinity Multi-display Technology, and HDMI Deep Color, delivering a new level of realism and color accuracy. AMD Turbo Core 3 extends the Turbo Core performance boost to the GPU, and CrossFireX gives access to ultra-high performance graphics with add-on cards. With three dedicated display outputs, support for industry standards is also upgraded, with Open GL 4.2, DisplayPort Version 1.2, and Open CL 1.1 or later.
