According to a London poll of over 2,000 people, about one-third said that they ended a relationship by e-mail, while 13% said they changed their Facebook status without informing their partners and still another 6% broke the news on Twitter.
Reuters - Digital dumping is on the rise, according to a survey, with growing numbers of people preferring to use email and social networking Web sites to break up with their partners.
When quizzed about this occurrence, Sean Wood, Marketing Manager for DateTheUK, said that digital dumping is ".. often easier, quicker and avoids any misunderstandings." We are not so sure about that.
