At Computex 2016, along with its updated range of Inspiron 2-in-1 notebooks, Dell has also updated its range of 15 and 17-inch Inspiron 5000 notebooks. To be clear, these are regular notebooks that do not convert to other modes.

The new notebooks will be powered by new Intel processors, and will also be available in different colors including Midnight Blue, Bali Blue and Tango Red. Like the Inspiron 15 5000 2-in-1 notebooks, these new Inspiron 5000 notebooks will feature plastic chassis.

Both 15 and 17-inch models will have displays that support Full-HD (1080p) resolution. Additionally, selected models will also be equipped with infrared cameras so users can use them to log into their notebooks with the new Windows Hello feature.

Another interesting feature is that these notebooks will come with DVD drives and can even be spec'ed with optional Blu-ray drives. This will be great for users who have a collection of DVD or Blu-ray movies.

Both models are slated to available in Singapore later this year in September. Prices have yet to be determined.
