With centralized management offered by the Dell Wyse Cloud Client Manager software-as-a-service (SaaS), each Dell Wyse Cloud Connect can be configured to ensure appropriate user access control for data and computing services. In addition, the device is pre-installed with software for remote access to physical or virtual desktops, apps and content.

It has built-in wireless connectivity, with support for Wi-Fi networks up to 802.11ac, and Bluetooth for tethering wireless input devices. It is also an ideal thin client machine as it can be used to access virtualized computing environments running on VMWare, Citrix and Microsoft. The Wyse Cloud Connect sports an MHL interface, a specification gaining traction as an audio/video interface standard that’s adopted by consumer electronics makers in their products (such as smartphones, tablets, Blu-ray players), to allow users to connect their devices to displays and audio receivers. Currently shipping in the United States only, its SRP is US$129. The device was initially known as Project Ophelia, and was slated for launch in July last year.
