There’s usually not much to get excited about when it comes to monitors. After all, you can only go so far with higher resolutions, thinner bezels, and maybe the occasional curved panel. This is especially the case when it comes to monitors targeted at businesses, or at least that’s how it usually is. But Dell’s new P4317Q multi-system monitor may offer just enough to make you sit up and take interest, as the 4K display can display up to four 1080p screens from four independent systems.

The biggest draw is obviously the ability to manipulate all the systems from a single screen and without any bezel breaks whatsoever. It might also be a good fit for space-constrained workspaces, as it allows you to do away with the four-monitor setup that you would otherwise require.

As expected, it comes with a wide array of display inputs, including one DisplayPort 1.2, one Mini DisplayPort 1.2, two HDMI 1.4 and one VGA connector. The Dell Display Manager on the P4317Q also allows you to rearrange the different inputs, and even zoom in on a particular screen to take advantage of the 4K resolution.

The 3,840 x 2,160-pixel IPS display has a matte finish that cuts down on overhead glare, which would seem particularly handy for a display of this size.

The monitor doesn't come cheap, and will cost US$1,350.
