DeepCool has finally started selling its futuristic Quadstellar case, which it first revealed at CES 2017.

The Quadstellar sits at the top of DeepCool’s line-up, and its striking design is partly a result of an unconventional layout that lets it accommodate a wide range of high-end hardware.

Those of you familiar with the company’s TriStellar case will see the similarities, but the Quadstellar now features four separate chambers instead of three.

It looks like something straight out of a science fiction movie, and each compartment is designed to hold a different heat-generating component. This means that your power supply, storage devices, and graphics cards are mostly kept separate from one another, while the motherboard extends into the central hub from the bottom left lobe.

The chassis will take up to E-ATX motherboards, and you have the option of connecting your graphics cards to the motherboard via riser cables, in which case they’ll sit in the top right compartment, or directly to the board in the central section.

The GPU compartment has room for three cards up to 380mm in length, while you can fit up to four at the center.

In addition, the drive compartment can hold up to eight 3.5-inch hard drives in drive cages in the top-left lobe, with space for a further five 2.5-inch SSDs.

The power supply compartment at the bottom-right is compatible with larger ATX units up to 300mm in length, and its isolation from the rest of the case helps keep your wires looking neater.

The Quadstellar comes with five pre-installed 120mm fans – four on the front and one at the back – and mounts for an additional four on the front and sides. The fans plug into a hub mounted on the back of the motherboard panel, and can be controlled using DeepCool’s Quadstellar App.

In fact, DeepCool is touting the so-called smart features of the case because of the app, which is also used to control the RGB lighting on the case.

The case features a cast aluminum frame, but the majority of it is still comprised of steel. Each compartment is also topped by tempered glass that is mounted using magnets, thus avoiding the use of screws.

In addition, the front-facing panel of each compartment can be tilted open to allow the 120mm fan below it to move more air.

You may also prefer to go the liquid-cooling route, as the maximum CPU cooler height is a restrictive 110mm. Having said that, there’s room for up to a 360mm radiator up front in the motherboard compartment and a 240mm radiator on the bottom.

The Quadstellar currently retails at US$399.
