D-Link has announced its first IP camera with wireless 11AC support - the DCS-2136L mydlink Cloud Wireless AC IP Camera with Color Night Vision.
Offering consumers and small business owners advanced networking and viewing capabilities for round-the-clock monitoring, the mydlink-enabled IP camera includes Color Night Vision, 802.11ac Wi-Fi connectivity for longer range and greater bandwidth availability, and the D-ViewCam app for convenient viewing.
Color Night Vision is a technology combined with an integrated white light LED, which allows the camera to display vivid color images even in complete darkness. The white light LED not only indicates that the camera is switched on, it invites intruders to look directly at the camera, enabling the device to capture crucial facial details for recognition purposes.
Equipped with a passive Infrared (PIR) sensor, the camera will automatically record when it detects motion, sending users notifications of activity. The snapshots and videos are recorded to an attached microSD card, allowing the camera to work without a PC or network storage device.
The mydlink lite app (available for both on iOS and Android devices) lets you view up to 99 connected cameras, record or take snapshots remotely. The camera also comes with the D-ViewCam software which allows you to manage up to 32 network cameras, create recording schedules, and set email notifications. Backward compatible with 802.11n/b/g standards, its built-in microphone and speaker enables two-way communication.
The DCS-2136L mydlink Cloud Wireless AC IP Camera with Colour Night Vision will be available at all authorized retailers and resellers in Q2 2014.
