Creative Announces Senz3D Interactive Gesture Camera

Creative has announced the new Senz3D interactive gesture camera which can be ordered from Creative.com from 5 September 2013. The camera will costs SG$269. It's designed for use with 2nd generation and later Intel Core processors. By combining advanced depth sensor technology with a camera and dual array microphones, it allows for immersive gaming as well as a better video conferencing experience. 

Users can play PC games using hand and finger gestures to control and interact with characters and different environments. The camera’s 3D sensing technology is able to enhance facial recognition and also extract a person’s image for various applications.The camera's key capabilities include close-range depth tracking specifically for PCs (6 inches to 3 feet), fingertracking, static hand poses, moving hand gestures, facial detection/analysis, voice recognition, and augmented reality. 

There will be a host of games and applications that ship with the Creative Senz3D which include: 

  • A Million Minions – squash, flick and toss attacking minions with gestures and poses
  • Aligned – solve mind-bending 3D puzzles, interacting with gestures and speech
  • FastAccess 3D – facial recognition for quick and easy PC login and website access
  • Portal 2 Perceptual Pack - reacts to hand gestures, hand movements and voice commands (will
    be delivered as a free download from store.steampowered.com)
