Here in Singapore, you probably won't have heard too much about OnLive, a cloud gaming service that is slowly getting its act right. Due to latency issues, we were unable to test it out ourselves. However, it has been getting some decent reviews and has just launched an OnLive console for those who chose not to use a PC. The company has also just secured a patent on the technology involved in streaming gaming content over the internet, which would make it favorites to succeed in this new field.
Ars Technica - OnLive may not be offering a wide range of games at the moment, but the technology behind the service has proven impressive. The company now has another powerful weapon in its arsenal, as a patent on cloud-based gaming and the streaming of content has been granted to Steve Perlman, OnLive's CEO.
