The idea of having a device that can track your daily activity levels is cool. But unfortunately, most smartwatches and activity trackers are clunky and not fashionable.

Enter the Chronos. The Chronos is really just a small disc that you can attach to the back of your favorite watches and it will turn it into a smartwatch. Well, sort of.

It measures about 33mm in diameter and 2.5mm thick and attaches to the caseback using a micro-suction surface. It is also waterproof and a three hour charge will give it enough juice to run for 36 hours.

So what can it do? For starters, it can track your activity levels - number of steps taken, distance walked, flights of stairs climbed and calories burnt. The accompanying Chronos app also works with iOS' HealthKit, so all your data is synced.

It also provides notifications alerts, a small vibrator motor inside the disc activates whenever your phone gets a notification. Furthermore, they are different color LEDs within the Chronos which can be assigned to different types of notifications. For example, blue might mean an incoming phone call while purple could indicate a new message.

The Chronos is currently available for pre-order for US$99 (S$140), with deliveries set to take place next spring. It will also go on sale next spring for US$129 (S$183). Another thing to note is that it only works with iOS for now, but an Android version should be ready by the time of launch.
