Check out the level of detail on Samsung's 98-inch curved 8K TV

Okay so what do you do if 4K resolution just doesn't do it for you anymore? How about 8K? Samsung is showing off one of the world's first "Real 8K" displays at CES 2016.

The 98-inch UN98S9 TV has a 7,680 x 4,320 resolution. That's more than 33 million pixels, four times what you get with a 4K set! Yes there's almost no 8K content available, but who cares when the display looks this good:

Here's a closeup of the screen. Even this close up, you won't see any pixels and everything remains sharp. If you're wondering about the ghostly images of the runners, its because this particular scene is a time-lapse video which shows some people running.

In case you're wondering, everything in the closeup picture above is in the red box!

Of course, being an SUHD TV, the UN98S9 also has 10-bit Quantum Dot technology for better color, HDR for better contrast and a Smart TV hub that lets you interact with other smart devices. For more info on Samsung's latest SUHD TVs, check out this feature.

No price or release date yet on this pixel monster, but we were told late in the year, if at all.
