Casio announces the launch of the latest in their Exilim-TR series – the Exilim EX-TR60

The Exilim EX-TR60 is available in Pink, Violet, Green and Gold.

The Exilim EX-TR60 may be deemed an evolution of Casio’s Exilim-TR series by most, but what it represents is really Casio’s willingness to listen to their customers. And this is seen in the addition of Bluetooth Smart technology, an easy-to-use Selfie Pad that’s placed conveniently on the rotating frame of the LCD, a Selfie Art function and the latest in Casio’s Make-up Technology.

Bluetooth Smart technology lets you control the 11.1-megapixel Exilim EX-TR60 remotely on your phone via the Exilim Connect application, even when the camera is switched off. These photos can also easily be shared via Scene, a cloud-based photo album later, so it’s easy to get them to friends and family.

There’s also a Selfie Pad on the Exilim EX-TR60, which is a sensor placed within the camera’s 360-degree rotatable LCD that detects when you run your finger against the side of the frame. This toggles between functions such as Zoom and Selfie Art, allowing you to make quick adjustments without having to go into the main menu.

Running your finger down the left of the frame in this mode toggles between the camera functions.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a selfie camera by Casio if it didn’t have innovative make-up functions, and the Exilim EX-TR60 certainly doesn’t disappoint there. You get 12 levels of skin smoothness effect and six levels of skin tone adjustments so you can go lighter or get that perfect shade of tan. If you can’t decide, there’s even a Make Up Bracketing mode that simultaneously processes three versions of the same image, giving you two additional images with each shot – an image two levels fairer and an image two levels more tanned, giving you more options without having to experiment too much.

If you’d like to personalize your image further, there’s now the Selfie Art Mode, which lets you apply six artistic effects to your portraits. “High Key” results in a natural lighting effect, “Foggy” creates a softer ambience, “Fairy” accentuates feminine facial features, “Nostalgia” evokes a sentimental mood, “Vivid” brightens photos and “Square” adjusts the image ratio to easily share on social media.

The Exilim EX-TR60 is made in Japan and will be available in Singapore in a choice of Green, Pink, Violet and Gold from select Casio authorized retailers from 27 April at a suggested retail price of S$1,299.
