Case makers traditionally have the upper-hand when it comes to having access to sources in Apple's supply chain, giving them somewhat of an idea of what to make and expect out of the upcoming Apple products. While the alleged iPad Mini is still somewhat of a mystery, mockups of cases for the device have seemed to further cement its possible existence. According to 9to5Mac, case maker DeviceWear has posted up and later took down a website containing some nice renders of the iPad Mini sheathed in their cases.
Of course, these are to be taken with a pinch of salt until the official announcement takes place. This was the case with Case-Mate, who did the same for iPhone 5 last year. The designs were, however, found to be false. With that said, DeviceWear is not the only case maker hinting at the existence of the iPad Mini.
With allegations that the iPhone 5 is already in production, photo leaks of a fully-assembled iPhone 5 and the near-confirmation of Apple's rumored September 12 event, the Cupertino company will definitely have one star product to show for. Nonetheless, here's hoping that the iPad Mini and new iPod Touch will materialize as well.
