Update (April 5, 2013): The Powershot N will be available in white from end of April at S$399.
Who says innovation is dead? Canon's new PowerShot N is a brand new concept that's about as new as anything we've seen from digital cameras in the last few years. It's not a spec powerhouse, but it is interesting - the N is built around a tilting touch-screen and comes with built-in Wi-Fi that lets you connect to your smartphone or tablet.
There's not even a standard shutter release button, instead the shutter release is built around the lens, as is the lens' zoom controller. The N has a 8x optical zoom lens (35mm equivalent of 28-224mm) and a 12MP sensor. It's built specifically as a smartphone companion, and even comes with a Creative Shot mode that saves your shot plus five versions of it with different filters applied.
The PowerShot N is expected to be available in April 2013 for US$299.99.
