Canon Confirms 'Light Leak' Issue with the 5D Mark III
Canon has confirmed a 'light leak' issue with the new 5D Mark III. According to the official product advisory on Canon USA's website:
In extremely dark environments, if the LCD panel illuminates, the displayed exposure value may change as a result of the AE sensor’s detection of light from the LCD panel.
Canon is currently investigating the issue and will make a support announcement once the countermeasures have been confirmed. PetaPixel has a video where you can see this phenomenon in action:
