Canon Announces Two Models from the PowerShot A Series
Canon has announced the PowerShot A2600 and Powershot A2500.
The PowerShot models come with a help button which launches a quick menu on the LCD screen, providing easy-to-understand advice that's especially beneficial to users new to photography. In addition to offering quick tips on how and when to use certain modes for optimum results, this feature also guides users in the tweaking of adjustments and settings to get the exposure and colors of their photos right.
Also incorporated is the LIVE view controls, an intuitive system which users can make use of to adjust the brightness, color, and tone of the desired shot and the screen will display the consequential picture before they even activate the shutter.
With the ability to record videos in 720p HD by just pressing the dedicated movie button, the cameras come equipped with a 5x optical zoom and 28mm wide-angle lens. Powered by a 16-megapixel sensor and a DIGIC 4 imaging processor with Digital IS, both models integrate ZoomPlus technology that expands their zoom capability by up to 10x without any significant loss of quality.
The new Eco Mode can be activated to control the brightness of the LCD screen and minimize battery consumption. It can save enough power to take up to 30% more shots as compared to normal mode by dimming the LCD after a few seconds of inactivity.
