7 Power-packed PIXMA Inkjet Printers : With new features such as PIXMA Cloud Link, Apple AirPrint support and Enhanced Full HD Movie Print, photos now tell a stronger story than ever before.

Canon today announces seven new PIXMA inkjet printers – the PIXMA MG8270, MG6270, MG5370, MG4170, MG3170 and MG2170 All-In-One (AIO) range, as well as the PIXMA iP4970 single function printer. Leading the range is the premium PIXMA MG8270, incorporating new features such as the PIXMA Cloud Link and Enhanced Full HD Movie Print, which heighten the photo sharing experience. With a classy matte paint tone finish, it comes packed with convenient features like WiFi capabilities, including support for the Apple AirPrint wireless printing for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch.

PIXMA Cloud Link

This new feature, available in all new models except the PIXMA MG3170, MG2170 and iP4970, allows easy access to print photographs from Picasa web albums via an Internet connection, without the need for a PC. This set of printers can also access a large variety of color and attractive web templates to print as stationery, memos and calendars. Canon plans to regularly update the database, which is directly accessible from the printer’s user interface (UI).

Also available is the Google Cloud Print where users can also print documents on the Cloud where print jobs can be freely sent through the web (from web applications such as Google Docs and Gmail).

AirPrint wireless printing

Three of the wireless models, PIXMA MG8270, MG6270, and MG5370, support AirPrint wireless printing for iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch. AirPrint saves valuable time and provides a seamless user experience by allowing users to wirelessly print photos, emails, web pages, and other documents without the need to install device drivers.

AirPrint will be supported by the majority of Canon PIXMA inkjet printers launched henceforth and works with the iPad, iPad 2, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 and iPod touch (3rd generation and later) running using iOS 4.2 or later.

Apart from the PIXMA MG2170 and iP4970, all models in this launch are equipped with WiFi capabilities. With a wireless LAN network, print and scan capabilities can be conveniently shared between multiple PCs. WiFi also allows Apple’s iOS and Google’s Android devices to print photos directly to the printers.
