Buffalo Introduces Two New 802.11ac Routers and New Dual-band USB Adapter (Updated)

Japanese storage and networking specialists Buffalo has just announced three new networking products at CES 2013 - two new 802.11ac routers and an 11ac dual-band USB adapter.

First up is the AirStation AC1750 Gigabit Dual Band Wireless Router (WZR-1750DHP) which is capable of speeds of up to 1300 Mbps on the 5GHz band and 450 Mbps on the 2.4GHz band. Other improvements include dual-core CPU and Beamforming technology provides faster Wi-Fi speeds and enhanced range; and a new priority control Quality of Service (QoS) feature that improves network sharing by prioritizing data based on its level of importance and need for bandwidth.

The new routers have an updated user interface that is easy and pleasant to use. Advanced Settings are available in a separate tab.

Next is the AirStation AC1166 Gigabit Dual Band Wireless Router (WZR-1166DHP). It's not as quick as the WZR-1750DHP, but it is still capable of speeds of up to 866 Mbps on the 5GHz band and 300 Mbps on the 2.4GHz band. It also includes the same feature enhancements as the WZR-1750DHP, such as Beamforming technology and the new QoS feature.

Finally, Buffalo has also announced the AirStation AC866 Dual Band USB Adapter (WLI-UC-866D) with speeds up to 866 Mbps (802.11ac) and 802.111n Dual-Band speeds up to 300 Mbps.
