Bringing world class Fiber-to-the-Home to Singapore
OpenNet Pte Ltd (Singapore) is pleased to announce their collaboration with NTT West Corporation (Japan) to bring world class Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) technology expertise to Singapore.
The collaboration will see the launch of the FTTH Network Training Programme which will be supported by NTT West FTTH experts and their engineering partner, Kyowa Exeo Corporation. The training programme will enhance the knowledge and skills of OpenNet’s installation contractors. The training programme will be organised by NTT West’s local training collaborator, FiberOpto Asia Pte Ltd (Singapore), a leading Fibre Optics training, certification and consultancy specialist. FiberOpto Asia has developed the course framework and structure, in line with Singapore’s Next Gen NBN deployment, and has provided the local coordination, logistics and technical support for the delivery of the course. The first training course has already been completed, running from 5 July to 9 July 2010, and receiving overwhelming positive response from OpenNet’s contractors and installers. The next course is scheduled for early October 2010.
In conjunction with the training program, OpenNet has also commenced a Certification Programme to determine the skill levels of their contractors and installers to certify them accordingly. This certification programme will also be organised by FiberOpto Asia Pte Ltd.
