Bragi’s The Headphone is all audio; zero fluff
Bragi has drastically scaled back on the features with their latest set of totally wireless headphones. Named simply “The Headphone”, the headphones do away with all of the motion tracking sensors from the Dash to focus solely on delivering good music.
Gone are the 32-bit ARM processor and the touch controls, but in its place you get an extra two hours of play time (six hours versus four from the Dash), and a simplified set of three buttons on the right ear cup. Perhaps because of the extended battery life, the provided carrying case also no longer provides extra charges on the go, as it acts purely as a charging dock.
The Headphone still retains the Audio Transparency feature from the Dash for when you need to stay aware of your surrounds though. It also offers the same sound quality with its support for A2DP, AAC and SBC, and again retains the same frequency range of 20Hz to 20kHz, while also coming with a Knowles digital MEMS microphone for quality calls on the go.
While it sounds like you lose a lot features moving in choosing The Headphone over The Dash, the price point certainly makes for a compelling factor if you’re only interested in audio. It retails for S$248, and is available now from authorized resellers like Leader Radio Technologies.
