Bose Companion 20 Multimedia Speaker System Launched

SINGAPORE - Atlas Sound & Vision, together with Bose, has introduced the latest Companion 20 multimedia speaker system, delivering a new level of performance for two-piece computer speakers. Now, users can enjoy lifelike, natural sound, whether sitting at the keyboard or across the room, all without the need for a separate subwoofer.

The Companion 20 system features a new driver and advanced port to reproduce music across the full frequency range. Combined with proprietary electronics and amplification, owners will experience the deep low notes and volume levels of larger systems, but from enclosures only 3.5 inches wide by 4.375 inches deep. Each speaker fits neatly to the right and left of a laptop or monitor, with the acoustic image being expanded by a sophisticated implementation of Bose TrueSpace stereo digital signal processing. The perceived soundstage is wide and spacious, even with the speakers’ narrow placement.

Additional proprietary digital signal processing and active electronic equalisation ensures accurate sound reproduction. At the highest listening levels, there is no distortion – and when played quietly, music still can be enjoyed with detail and realism.

The new Companion 20 operating system is made easy with a small, circular control pod that lets users adjust volume and access one-touch muting. It also offers a headphone jack and input for an additional audio source; for example an iPhone, iPod or other portable devices.

The Companion 20 system joins three other Bose computer speaker solutions: the Companion 2 system, providing a simple yet high-quality two-speaker upgrade for computers or portable devices; the Companion 5 system, delivering much of the performance of a fully wired five-speaker system from two satellite speakers and an Acoustimass module; and the Computer MusicMonitor, the smallest, most compact two-piece system from Bose.

Availability

The Bose Companion 20 multimedia speaker system is available in silver and can be purchased at SG$539 from selected partners and the Atlas Experience Audio Visual Boutique @ TripleOne Somerset, and Bose @ Millenia Walk.
